Via het United Coaches-programma van Philips ben ik met Rokus in contact gekomen. Ik zat op dat moment in een moeilijke periode en heb de coachgesprekken met hem als zeer waardevol ervaren. Rokus is een warm en oprecht betrokken persoon die echt de tijd neemt om te luisteren. Hij stelt goede vragen en geeft praktische handvatten waarmee je ook na het gesprek verder kunt reflecteren en zelf aan de slag kunt gaan. Hij heeft mij geholpen om niet alleen naar de moeilijkheden te kijken, maar juist meer in mogelijkheden te denken. Rokus creëert een veilige en vertrouwde sfeer waarin je open kunt zijn en tot nieuwe inzichten kunt komen. Ik kan hem van harte aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een betrokken, empathische en kundige coach.

Rokus heeft me van augustus tot december 2024 gecoached in een zestal sessies om op basis van mijn waarden, sterktes en persoonlijkheid erachter te komen wat qua werk bij mij zou passen. Daarbij ging het zowel over type werkzaamheden inhoudelijk, als ook de werkomgeving: wat voor soort team en bedrijf het beste bij mij zou passen. Wat ik zelf erg prettig vond was dat de coaching niet te zweverig was. Naar mijn idee komt dit omdat hij in de basis een duidelijk plan qua oefeningen en tools paraat heeft om dieper op zaken in te gaan en tot concrete antwoorden te komen. Tegelijkertijd is er ook ruimte om de zaken wat meer op z'n beloop te laten, te kijken wat wel en niet werkt en om recente gebeurtenissen te bespreken en mee te nemen in de coaching. Een mooie balans. De sessies zou ik qua sfeer en energie omschrijven als gemoedelijk, rustig, en kalm met de nodige flexibiliteit.

Rokus was my coach during the EmpowHER circles program an initiative within Philips. I have learned a lot from him and I am very happy I was matched with him as my coach. By listening to my stories he was able to ask the right questions that made me think and, in the end, helped me making the right decisions or taking a step in the right direction. Ik heb Rokus leren kennen als een zeer aimabele coach via BuddyWerkt. We hebben het gehad over mijn passies. Onder andere voor een product dat ik ontwikkeld heb op het gebied van licht- en zonwering management. We hebben het gehad over grote dromen en kleine dromen. De laatste is in vervulling gegaan want ik werk nu voor Spie Building Solutions ASML waar ik het erg naar mijn zin heb. Ik hoop dat mijn grote droom ook eens uitkomt.
